Alzheimer's Disease Sucks!

I hate to be a downer but I could use some "in the trenches" advice on how to deal with a family member having Alzheimer's disease.  My vibrant 71 year old mother was just diagnosed with this awful disease and I am devastated!  I have been reading up on the illness but would like to talk to someone who has or is going through this process.  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.  I am hoping that none of my small band of followers have insight about this but if so, please add anything you would like or if you'd rather, you can email me privately at tonyaboezi@gmail.com
As my grandmother used to say, "Aging is not for the faint of heart".  How right she was!

  1. I don't know to much about Alzheimer's, but I do know a daughter's love for her mother. This has to be hard--and if you ever need to talk to anyone I am here. Please keep your spirits up and know that she knows your love-- *forever*. I also know a mother's love for her child
    Best Wishes-

  2. Thank you so much for your kind words. I too believe that a mother knows the love her child is sending. Here's a quote from Maya Angelou that I love.

"They may forget what you said, they may forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel." - Maya Angelou

    Thanks again.
