How to rock a slip dress - Really!

Be Your Glamorous Self!
Vintage Marilyn

In 1953, Marilyn Monroe rocked a lace-detailed white slip in the movie "Niagra“, we all know how the story goes from there.  Fast forward to 2011 and the vintage slip dress is one of the hottest garments to dress up or down.  There are so many ways you can change the look of one simple slip dress.  Here are some helpful tips & tricks on how to turn a slip dress into a beautiful outfit.

Vintage and oh so Glamorous!

In cooler weather try wearing a slip dress over leggings with some sort of jacket or open sweater.  You can really make it pop with a custom belt buckle, see pictures below.
A belt really accentuates your waist to give you that perfect hour-glass figure.
As far as footwear this looks great with knee high boots.
Keep your accessories to a minimum.  If wearing a belt, go sparse on your jewelry, you want to showcase the slip dress, not compete with it.

Cool & Sassy Summer Look

A white lined slip dress looks so crisp and cool in the spring and summer.  This looks great with a little jacket over it such as a vintage jean jacket or a stylish summer vest.  You can also wear this without anything over it, it just depends on how comfortable you feel.
This looks great with distressed cowboy boots or nude sandals.
